About Us
PMRGCAuk is the UK-wide charity for Polymyalgia Rheumatica and Giant Cell Arteritis. These linked rheumatic diseases affect mainly older people (with around 45,000 new cases in the UK each year, and cause immense pain and disability. If left untreated, GCA can cause irreversible blindness.
PMRGCAuk was set up in 2008 to provide support, information and awareness, and foster research to improve outcomes for patients.
